Target Information
PAI1 (plasminogen activator inhibitor 1)는 serine protease inhibitor(superfamily)에 속하며, tissue-type 및 urokinase-type plasminogen activators(tPA, uPA)의 주요 억제제입니다. 혈소판이 순환 중 PAI1의 주요 공급원이지만, 섬유아세포, 평활근세포, 내피세포, 간세포 및 염증세포 등 다양한 세포에서 합성 및 분비됩니다.
PAI1의 발현은 성장인자, 사이토카인, 호르몬, 염증 인자, 대사물질, 혈관 조절 인자 등 다양한 요인에 의해 전사 수준에서 조절됩니다.
비만, 혈전성 질환, 대사 증후군 등 여러 질환 상태에서 PAI1 수준이 증가하며, 혈전 발생 위험 증가와 관련이 있습니다.
PAI1 결함은 비정상적인 출혈을 유발할 수 있으며, fibrinolysis 억제 및 신경세포 생존에 관여할 수 있습니다.
또한, PAI1 결핍(plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 deficiency)은 다양한 대체 스플라이싱 변이체를 포함할 수 있습니다.
