- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Ferritin Light Chain (FTL) encodes the light subunit of the ferritin protein, which is the major intracellular iron storage protein in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
Ferritin consists of 24 subunits of heavy and light chains, and variations in composition influence iron uptake and release rates across tissues.
Defects in the FTL gene are linked to neurodegenerative diseases and hyperferritinemia-cataract syndrome.
This gene also has multiple pseudogenes.
