Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody 1C2 recognizes mouse and rat CD42d, also known as platelet glycoprotein V (GPV). CD42d interacts with CD42a, CD42b, and CD42c to form the receptor for von Willebrand factor and thrombin, playing a key role in platelet adhesion.
Expression of CD42d is restricted to resting platelets and megakaryocytes, making it a useful marker for megakaryocyte development.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse platelets. Recommended ≤1 µg/test in 100 µL final volume.
Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).
Antibody should be titrated for optimal performance. - Excitation: 488–561 nm
- Emission: 578 nm
- Laser Compatibility: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
Natural killer (NK) cells in teleosts and their evolutionary homologues are lymphocyte subsets distinct from B- or T-cells. NK cells function as effectors of innate immunity by releasing cytokines that modulate other immune responses.
Monoclonal antibodies have been used to identify surface antigens on NK cells, defining their phenotypic and functional subsets.
The Cluster of Differentiation (CD) nomenclature standardizes NK cell antigen naming.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Not for resale without express authorization.
