Target Information
SIRT3는 효모 Sir2 단백질과 상동성을 가진 sirtuin 단백질 패밀리의 구성원으로, sirtuin core domain을 특징으로 합니다. 인간 sirtuin의 기능은 완전히 규명되지 않았으나, 효모 sirtuin 단백질은 후성유전적 유전자 침묵 및 rDNA 재조합 억제에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 연구 결과에 따르면 인간 SIRT3는 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase 활성을 가진 세포 내 조절 단백질로 작용할 수 있으며, sirtuin 패밀리의 class I에 속합니다.
