Product Specific Information
In Western blots (under reducing and non-reducing conditions), approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant human ADAM9 ectodomain is observed. No cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse ADAM10 and human ADAM8, 15, and 17 (TACE) ectodomains is detected.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
ADAM9 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. These membrane-anchored proteins are structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and participate in biological processes such as cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. ADAM9 interacts with SH3 domain-containing proteins, binds mitotic arrest deficient 2 beta protein, and is involved in TPA-induced ectodomain shedding of membrane-anchored heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor.
