This antibody recognizes the EC1 domain of the FcαRI extracellular region.
Target Information
This gene belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and encodes a receptor for the Fc region of IgA. The receptor is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on myeloid lineage cells such as neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages, and eosinophils. It mediates immune responses to pathogens by interacting with IgA-opsonized targets, triggering processes such as phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity, and the release of inflammatory mediators. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
