Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Specialized midline cells in the central nervous system (CNS) guide axonal growth by producing cues such as nectins and slit, which act as attractants and repellents. Robo proteins serve as receptors for the repellent Slit and play a key role in axon guidance. Non-crossing axons express high levels of Robo, while crossing axons show dynamic expression changes before and after crossing the midline. Robo1 and Robo2 are human homologs of the Drosophila Roundabout protein, with Robo1 also homologous to the C. elegans gene sax3 and Robo2 to the zebrafish gene astray.
