Target Information
CRB2 (Crumbs homolog 2)는 CRB1 및 CRB3과 유사하며, Drosophila crumbs 단백질과 상동성을 가진다. 주로 망막, 뇌, 신장에서 발현되며, 다른 단백질들과 함께 세포 극성을 형성하는 복합체를 구성한다. 배아줄기세포(ESCs)는 신경 분화 초기 단계에서 CRB2를 상향 조절하며, 이는 신경 로제트의 꼭대기(apical) 부위에 위치한다. 기능 획득 및 손실 연구 결과, CRB2는 다른 극성 단백질의 안정화에 필수적임이 밝혀졌다. CRB1과 달리, CRB2의 돌연변이는 망막색소변성증(retinitis pigmentosa)이나 Leber 선천성 흑암증과는 관련이 없는 것으로 알려져 있다.
