Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity purified antibody is directed against the VSV-G epitope tag and is useful in detecting its presence in overexpressed proteins in various assays. The antibody recognizes the VSV-G epitope tag (Tyr-Thr-Asp-Ile-Glu-Met-Asn-Arg-Leu-Gly-Lys) fused to either the amino- or carboxy-termini of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
Vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) is an enveloped RNA virus of the Rhabdoviridae family, released from the plasma membrane of host cells by budding. The glycoprotein (VSV G) contains a domain in its extracellular membrane-proximal stem region that is important for efficient VSV budding.
