Product Specific Information
The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1). CD185 is a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma.
In peripheral blood, CD185 is expressed on B cells and CD4+ T cells (excluding Th1 or Th2), as well as a subset of memory (CD45RO+) T cells. These CD185+ T cells migrate to lymph nodes due to CCR7 and CD62L expression. In tonsil tissue, CD185 is expressed on nearly all CD4+ cells with activation markers such as CD69 and ICOS, playing a role in B cell help and antibody production.
This receptor is crucial for lymphocyte trafficking, especially T cell migration into B cell follicles in response to CXCL13, serving as a marker for follicular helper T cells. The antibody cross-reacts with Rhesus macaque.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted, tested at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL volume, typically 10⁵–10⁸ cells.
Fluorochrome Characteristics:
- Excitation: 532 nm (Green laser)
- Emission: 561 nm
- Recommended filter: 560/14 band pass
- Not compatible with Yellow-Green laser (561 nm)
Target Information
CXCR5 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family. It is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC, expressed in lymphoid tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen.
CXCR5 plays an essential role in B cell migration and is expressed in human blood, salivary gland, and various animal tissues (lymph node, spleen, liver, etc.). As a GPCR, CXCR5 shares the seven-transmembrane structure common to this receptor family, involved in complex signaling and pharmacological regulation.
