Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at −20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at −20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

NIPAL4 acts as a Mg²⁺ transporter and can also transport other divalent cations (Ba²⁺, Mn²⁺, Sr²⁺, Co²⁺) to a lesser extent.
It may function as a receptor for trioxilins A3 and B3 from the hepoxilin pathway.
Mutations in the NIPAL4 gene are associated with autosomal recessive congenital ichthyosis.
Diseases associated include Ichthyosis, Congenital, Autosomal Recessive 6 and Autosomal Recessive Congenital Ichthyosis.
