Target Information
Galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Galectin 7 is specifically expressed in keratinocytes and predominantly found in stratified squamous epithelium. A duplicate copy of this gene (GeneID: 653499) is located adjacent to, but on the opposite strand of, chromosome 19.
