The monoclonal antibody eBio7H22.E16 reacts with mouse BAFF-Receptor (CD268), a type III transmembrane TNF receptor family member.
BAFF-R is predominantly expressed on peripheral B cells in both humans and mice, found on the surface of all B220+ B cells in the spleen.
It is also expressed on activated/memory T-cell subsets and plays a critical role in splenic B cell maturation and survival, mediating BAFF-dependent costimulatory responses in peripheral B and T cells.
Defects in BAFF-R can lead to decreased mature B-cell generation and autoimmune disorders. The ligand for BAFF-R is BAFF (BLyS).

This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Validated in flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration is recommended for optimal assay performance.
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.

Target Information
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 13C (TNFRSF13C), also known as BAFFR, is encoded by the TNFRSF13C gene located on chromosome 22q13.1–q13.31.
It encodes a 184-amino-acid transmembrane protein, 56% identical to the mouse protein.
BAFF enhances B-cell survival and regulates peripheral B-cell populations, playing a crucial role in B-cell development and functioning through receptors such as BCMA.
