Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
This gene encodes a protein that homodimerizes and functions as a transcription factor activating expression of key metabolic genes involved in cellular growth, respiration, heme biosynthesis, and mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication.
It is also associated with regulation of neurite outgrowth.
Alternate splice variants encoding the same or different isoforms have been described.
Note: The gene symbol NRF1 may also refer to nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 1 (NFE2L1), which is distinct.
