AKAP8L은 DHX9과의 결합을 통해 CTE(Constitutive Transport Element)-매개 유전자 발현에 관여할 수 있습니다.
핵 내 비스플라이싱 mRNA의 CTE 의존적 수출을 증가시키며, PRKACA를 핵으로 타깃팅할 수 있는 것으로 제안되었습니다.
핵막 붕괴 및 염색질 응축, DNA 복제 개시 조절, 세포주기 G2/M 전이, 히스톤 탈아세틸화 조절 등 다양한 핵 내 과정에 관여할 수 있습니다.
AKAP8과 중복 기능을 가지며, 전사 조절 및 pre-mRNA 스플라이싱에도 역할을 하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
