Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and may also appear on myeloid leukemia cells, particularly of monocytic lineage.
CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and can independently regulate signaling pathways involved in B cell proliferation and differentiation.
Mutations in CD19 lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
