Target Information
The Ras-related superfamily of guanine nucleotide binding proteins includes the R-Ras, Rap, Ral/Rec, and Rho/Rab subfamilies, all of which play important roles in endocytosis or biosynthetic protein transport. Rab proteins facilitate the movement of carrier vesicles from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi complex and secretory vesicles. Rab 39, also known as Rab 39A, is a 217 amino acid protein belonging to the small GTPase superfamily and may be involved in vesicular trafficking.
