간의 저장소에서 말초 조직으로 레티놀을 전달하며, 혈장에서 transthyretin과 복합체를 형성해 신장 여과를 통한 손실을 방지합니다.
비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 차단되어 표피 세포로의 레티놀 공급이 저해될 수 있습니다.
