Target Information
Fumarase는 TCA (Krebs) cycle의 효소 성분으로, fumarate를 L-malate로 전환시키는 반응을 촉매합니다. 이 단백질은 세포질형과 미토콘드리아형 두 가지 형태로 존재하며, N-말단 확장형은 미토콘드리아로 이동 후 절단되어 동일한 형태를 형성합니다. 일부 열안정성 class II fumarase와 유사하며, homotetramer로 기능합니다. 해당 유전자 변이는 fumarase 결핍을 유발하여 진행성 뇌병증을 초래할 수 있습니다.
