Target Information
Fibrinogen is a soluble protein found in blood plasma and produced by liver cells. It is a hexamer composed of two sets of disulfide-linked chains. Fibrinogen plays a crucial role in blood coagulation as the precursor of fibrin, which is formed from fibrinogen through the action of thrombin in the presence of calcium ions.
