PEP-0385 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20270.
Target Information
TANK was initially identified as a novel TRAF-interacting protein that regulates TRAF-mediated signal transduction. Ligand binding by surface receptors in the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor and Toll/interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor families leads to the formation of a TRAF/TANK complex that mediates activation of the transcription factor NF-kappa-B. This occurs through association with kinases IKK-iota and TBK1. These proteins can form a complex with NEMO, which regulates the Ikappa-B complex. This suggests that TBK1 and IKK-iota may activate IKKs and modulate NF-kappa-B transactivation potential. At least two isoforms of TANK are known.
