This antibody is predicted to react with canine, mouse, porcine, and rat based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is tonsil tissue.

Target Information

Granzyme B is a member of the granzyme serine protease family, localized in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It is also known as CGL1 (cathepsin G-like-1) and CTLA-1 (cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated serine esterase 1).
Granzyme B plays a crucial role in inducing apoptosis in target cells through interaction with cytotoxic T cells. It acts via the mannose 6-phosphate receptor and initiates the caspase cascade by cleaving caspase-3. Additionally, it can trigger mitochondrial apoptosis by cleaving the Bid protein.
Granzymes are neutral serine proteases stored in specialized lytic granules of CTLs and NK cells. Several granzymes (A–G) have been cloned from mouse CTLs and NK cells, while fewer have been identified in humans.
