Target Information
NTRK3 (TRKC) belongs to the neurotrophic factor family, which is central to the development and maintenance of the mammalian nervous system. Known substrates for the TRK receptors include SHC, PI-3 kinase, and PLCG1. Isoforms have distinct signaling properties. TRKC is widely expressed, mainly in nervous tissue. Isoform B is more abundant in the adult brain compared to the fetal brain. TRKC undergoes ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation and contains two immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and two leucine-rich (LRR) repeats.
