This antibody detects endogenous levels of BTK only when phosphorylated at Tyr223/225.


Target Information

Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase belonging to the SRC-related TEC subfamily of tyrosine kinases.
Mutations in the BTK gene are associated with severe developmental blocks in human B-cell ontogeny and immunodeficiency disorders.
BTK interacts with members of the toll-like receptor (TLR) family, including TLR4, TLR6, TLR8, and TLR9, which are critical in innate and adaptive immunity.
It also interacts with key proteins in TLR4 signal transduction such as MyD88, TIRAP, and IRAK, but not TRAF-6, indicating its role in lipopolysaccharide signal transduction.
