Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PIM2 is a proto-oncogene encoding a serine/threonine kinase that phosphorylates BAD, partially inhibiting its apoptotic function.
PIM proteins (PIM-1, PIM-2, PIM-3) share homologous oncogenic functions. PIM-2 is abundantly expressed in hematopoietic tissues, spleen, thymus, peripheral blood leukocytes, testis, small intestine, and colon.
Expression of PIM2 is negatively regulated by growth factor depletion, and elevated levels have been observed in certain cancers.
