Description:
The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), a 205 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation. CD205 enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity and is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells, with variable expression in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells.

Note: CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; therefore, this biotin format should not be used on CD205⁺ dendritic cells.

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested on mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤ 0.015 µg/test in 100 µL final volume. Optimal titration is advised for specific assays.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD205 (LY25, Lymphocyte Antigen 75) is a membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell responses. It functions as an endocytic receptor directing antigens to specialized processing regions and can modulate B lymphocyte proliferation. CD205 dysfunction has been linked to pneumonic plague and lipid pneumonia.
