The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
DNA topoisomerases are nuclear enzymes that regulate the topological structure of DNA by transiently breaking and rejoining DNA strands.
- Topoisomerase I (Topo I) and Topoisomerase II (Topo II) relax both positive and negative supercoils.
- Topoisomerase III (Topo III) relaxes only negative supercoils.
- Topo IIIα exists as long and short isoforms produced by alternative splicing. It localizes to the nucleolus and remains highly expressed throughout the cell cycle in HL-60 cells.
- Topo IIIβ exists as three isoforms (β-1, β-2, β-3), also produced by alternative splicing.
- Topo IIIβ-1: expressed in testis, heart, and skeletal muscle
- Topo IIIβ-2: expressed in thymus, kidney, and pancreas
