Target Information
PGAM5 displays phosphatase activity for serine/threonine residues and dephosphorylates and activates MAP3K5 kinase. It has no phosphoglycerate mutase activity and may regulate mitochondrial dynamics. It acts as a substrate for a KEAP1-dependent ubiquitin ligase complex and contributes to repression of NFE2L2-dependent gene expression. PGAM5 functions as a central mediator of programmed necrosis induced by TNF, reactive oxygen species, and calcium ionophore. [UniProt]
