Product Specific Information

MA5-15507 targets Cytokeratin (Pan) in indirect ELISA, IF, and IHC applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of Cytokeratin 5 expressed in E. coli.

Target Information

Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and an isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8. They are numbered 1–20 in humans.
Expression patterns of cytokeratin subtypes vary with epithelial type, maturation, and differentiation level, and are useful in distinguishing epithelial malignancies.
Cytokeratin antibodies assist in tumor differential diagnosis using immunohistochemistry and are valuable in cytopathology and flow cytometry.
Keratins serve as important markers in cancer research and tumor diagnostics.
