Target Information
Eotaxin-3 (CCL26) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It regulates migration and localization of eosinophils and basophils via CCR3 receptor binding. Expressed in heart, lung, ovary, and IL-4–stimulated endothelial cells. The gene is located on human chromosome 7. Eotaxin-3 induces migration of eosinophils and basophils at higher concentrations compared to eotaxin.
