Product Specific Information
- Preservative-free formulation. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.

Target Information
The S100A6 protein belongs to the S100 family of calcium-binding proteins containing two EF-hand motifs. These proteins are found in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of various cells and are involved in regulating cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation.
S100 genes form a cluster on chromosome 1q21 with at least 13 members. S100A6 may play roles in Ca²⁺-dependent insulin release, prolactin secretion, and exocytosis. Chromosomal rearrangements and altered expression have been linked to melanoma.
