Target Information
SYMPK is a nuclear protein involved in regulation of polyadenylation and promotion of gene expression. It forms a high-molecular-weight complex with polyadenylation machinery components, serving as a scaffold for regulatory factor recruitment. SYMPK also participates in 3'-end maturation of histone mRNAs (non-polyadenylated) and localizes to cytoplasmic plaques of tight junctions in certain cell types.
