Product Specific Information
The MEL-14 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD62L, a 76 kDa member of the selectin family.
CD62L is expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells and binds several glycosylated and sialylated glycoproteins such as CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MAdCAM-1. These interactions mediate lymphocyte rolling on activated endothelium and homing to high endothelial venules (HEV) in peripheral lymphoid tissues.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.
Super Bright 436 is excited by the 405 nm (violet) laser and emits at 436 nm. Recommended detection filter: 450/50 bandpass.
When using multiple Super Bright conjugates, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
Human CD62L (L-Selectin) is a 74–95 kDa glycoprotein member of the selectin adhesion receptor family.
It consists of:
- Amino-terminal C-type lectin binding domain
- EGF-like domain
- Two short consensus repeat (SCR) sequences
- Spacer region
- Transmembrane region
- Cytoplasmic tail
CD62L is constitutively expressed on most leukocytes including lymphocytes, monocytes, and polymorphonuclear cells (except some memory T cells).
