Product Specific Information
In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse EphA3, EphA4, EphB2, EphB3, EphB4, and EphB6 is observed. Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human EphA1, EphA5, mouse EphA7, EphA8, and rat EphA5 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
EPHB1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Members of the Eph family play critical roles in nervous system development, angiogenesis, and synapse formation. EphB1 and related proteins are type I membrane-spanning receptors with immunoglobulin, fibronectin type III, and cysteine-rich domains in the extracellular region, and a cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain upstream of a SAM domain. EphB1 binds ephrin B-class ligands, which are also transmembrane signaling proteins. EphB1 is predominantly expressed in developing neural structures and vascular epithelium. It mediates cell attachment and assembly upon binding ephrin B1. Eph family members are implicated in neuronal and vascular cell targeting.
