Product Specific Information
PerCP conjugates are excited by the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser and have a large Stokes shift, providing minimal spectral overlap into the R-PE (phycoerythrin) channel.
Target Information
CD16 encodes a receptor that recognizes the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G and is involved in the clearance of immune complexes from circulation, as well as functions such as cell-mediated cytotoxicity and enhancement of viral infections.
The gene FCGR3A shares high similarity with FCGR3B, located nearby on chromosome 1.
- FCGR3A: Expressed on NK cells as a transmembrane glycoprotein.
- FCGR3B: Expressed on polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) via phosphatidylinositol (PI) linkage.
Mutations in FCGR3A are associated with:
- Immunodeficiency 20
- Susceptibility to recurrent viral infections
- Systemic lupus erythematosus
- Alloimmune neonatal neutropenia
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
