Target Information
Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TdT) is a DNA polymerase located in the cell nucleus that catalyzes the polymerization of deoxynucleotides at the 3′ hydroxyl ends of oligo or polydeoxynucleotide initiators. It functions without a template and serves as a highly specific marker for the diagnosis and classification of acute lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemias. Detection of TdT expression is valuable for differentiating lymphoblastic lymphoma from Burkitt’s lymphoma.
