Target Information
CRP(C-reactive protein)는 5개의 동일한 비공유 결합된 비당화 서브유닛으로 구성된 주요 급성기 단백질입니다. 각 서브유닛은 206개의 아미노산으로 이루어져 있으며, 분자량은 약 24 kDa입니다.
CRP는 간에서 생성되며, 염증 반응 시 혈장 농도가 급격히 상승합니다.
CRP는 classical complement cascade를 시작하고, chromatin, histones 등 여러 핵 구성 요소에 결합하며, 선천 면역에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
손상, 감염 또는 염증 시 CRP 농도는 100~1000배까지 증가할 수 있습니다.
CRP는 opsonic 작용을 하며 monocyte/macrophage를 활성화하고, 세포 괴사 시 scavenger 역할을 수행할 수 있습니다.
CRP 수치가 높을 경우 고혈압 및 심혈관 질환 위험이 증가하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
