Target Information
Hepatitis B virus (HBV)는 급성 및 만성 간질환의 주요 원인으로, 가장 흔한 혈액 매개 바이러스성 간염 형태입니다. HBV는 직경 42nm의 구형 바이러스로, 27nm의 부분적으로 이중가닥 DNA 핵심이 지질단백질 외피에 둘러싸여 있습니다.
핵심 단백질의 항원성은 Hepatitis B Core Antigen(HBcAg)으로, 외피 항원은 Hepatitis B Surface Antigen(HBsAg)이라 불립니다. Core antigen은 감염된 세포의 핵 내에, Surface antigen은 세포질 내에 존재합니다.
HBsAg에 대한 항체는 감염 초기 단계에서 나타나며, HBcAg에 대한 항체는 수 주 후에 검출됩니다. 전 세계적으로 약 4억 명의 HBV 보균자가 존재하며, 예방접종은 약 30개국에서 모든 아동에게 권장됩니다. HBV는 Hepadnaviridae 계열에 속하며, 감염이 지속될 경우 간세포암 발생 위험이 있습니다.
