Target Information
CAPS2 및 관련 단백질 CAPS1은 신경/내분비 특이적 세포질 및 주변막 단백질을 암호화합니다. 두 단백질 모두 시냅스 소포 프라이밍 기계의 필수 구성 요소로, Ca²⁺ 조절 분비 소포의 외배출에 필요합니다. CAPS 결핍 뉴런은 융합 가능한 시냅스 소포가 거의 없어 빠른 위상성 신경전달물질 방출이 저해됩니다. CAPS2는 다양한 아이소폼이 존재하며, 뇌 내에서 서로 다른 발현 패턴을 보입니다. 예를 들어, CAPS2b는 발달 중인 소뇌에서 높은 발현을 보입니다. 또한 exon 3이 결실된 CAPS2 mRNA 버전이 일부 자폐 환자에서 검출되어, CAPS2의 차별적 발현이 신경 발달에 관여함을 시사합니다.
