Product Specific Information

The MU5UBEE monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD185 (CXCR5, also known as BLR1). CD185 is a seven-transmembrane G protein-coupled receptor originally identified in Burkitt’s lymphoma. It is expressed on B cells, CD4⁺ T cells, and a subset of memory T cells (CD45RO⁺).
In tonsil, CD185⁺ cells co-express activation markers such as CD69 and ICOS and can induce antibody production when co-cultured with B cells. CD185 plays a critical role in lymphocyte trafficking, particularly in T cell migration into B cell follicles of germinal centers in response to CXCL13, making it a marker of follicular helper T cells.
This antibody cross-reacts with Rhesus macaque.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted; use 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm and is intended for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm UV laser. Ensure the instrument supports this fluorochrome.

Buffer Recommendation:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal effect on brightness.

Target Information

CXCR5 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 5, CD185), also known as Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1 (BLR1), is a G protein-coupled receptor for chemokine BLC. It is specifically expressed in Burkitt’s lymphoma and lymphatic tissues such as lymph node follicles and spleen. CXCR5 plays an essential role in B cell migration and lymphocyte trafficking. Expression is reported in various human and animal tissues, including blood, lymph nodes, spleen, and tonsil.
