Target Information
PSRC1 is required for normal progression through mitosis. It is essential for proper chromosome congression at the metaphase plate and normal chromosomal segregation during anaphase. PSRC1 regulates mitotic spindle dynamics, increases microtubule turnover on metaphase spindles, and contributes to generating normal tension across sister kinetochores. It recruits KIF2A and ANKRD53 to the mitotic spindle and spindle poles and may participate in p53/TP53-regulated growth suppression.
