This antibody detects endogenous levels of CARD11 only when phosphorylated at Ser652.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family, which functions as molecular scaffolds for multiprotein complex assembly at specialized plasma membrane regions. It also belongs to the CARD protein family, characterized by the caspase-associated recruitment domain (CARD). CARD11 has structural similarity to CARD14 and both interact specifically with BCL10, a positive regulator of cell apoptosis and NF-κB activation. When expressed in cells, CARD11 activates NF-κB and induces phosphorylation of BCL10.
