For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
This gene encodes a 134 kDa protein named strumpellin, predicted to have multiple transmembrane domains and a spectrin-repeat-containing domain. It is ubiquitously expressed, with the highest expression in skeletal muscle. The protein is associated with Strumpell disease, a form of hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), characterized by progressive lower extremity spasticity due to axonal degeneration in corticospinal tracts. Over 30 loci (SPG1–33) have been implicated in HSP.
