Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1)은 L-아르기닌을 요소와 L-오르니틴으로 전환하는 35 kDa 효소로, 이는 요소 회로의 마지막 단계에 해당합니다. 생성된 폴리아민은 세포 증식 및 단백질 분해로 인한 독성 물질 제거에 중요합니다. Arginase 1은 아르기닌을 분해함으로써 NO 합성효소의 기질을 감소시키고, 산화질소 생성을 억제합니다.
인간과 생쥐 모두에서 Arginase 1은 간, 호중구, 골수 유래 억제 세포(MDSC), 신경 줄기세포에서 발현됩니다. 생쥐에서는 대체적으로 활성화된 대식세포(M2a)의 표지 인자로 알려져 있습니다. 또한, Arginase-1은 종양 침윤성 골수세포에서 발현될 수 있으며, 대부분의 간세포암에서 발견됩니다.
Arginase 1의 결함은 고암모니아혈증을 특징으로 하는 상염색체 열성 질환인 아르기니네미아(argininemia)의 원인이 됩니다.
