Target Information
Arginase-1 (Arg1)는 L-arginine을 urea와 L-ornithine으로 전환하는 35 kDa 효소로, 요소 회로의 최종 단계를 담당합니다. 생성된 polyamine은 세포 증식과 단백질 분해로 인한 독소 제거에 중요합니다. Arginase 1은 NO synthase의 기질을 감소시켜 nitric oxide 생성을 조절합니다.
인간과 마우스 모두에서 간, 호중구, MDSC, 신경 줄기세포 등에서 발현되며, 특히 마우스에서는 M2a 대체 활성화 대식세포의 표지자로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 간세포암의 대부분에서 발현되며, Arginase 1 결함은 고암모니아혈증을 특징으로 하는 상염색체 열성 질환인 argininemia의 원인이 됩니다.
