Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Galectin-1 belongs to a large family of carbohydrate-binding proteins called lectins. It can exist as a monomer or homodimer and is found in various cells and tissues. Galectin-1 regulates cell growth and proliferation, induces apoptosis of activated T cells, modulates cytokine secretion, and inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokine production. It plays an important role in both acute and chronic inflammation.
