APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 결합 수용체(gene family) 구성원으로, 안지오텐신 수용체와 관련이 있으나 실제로는 아펠린(apelin) 수용체로서 adenylate cyclase 활성을 억제합니다.
이는 안지오텐신 II의 혈압 상승 작용에 대한 역조절 기능을 수행하며, 심혈관 및 중추 신경계, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관형성, HIV-1 공동수용체 기능 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다.
대체 스플라이싱에 의해 두 가지 전사체 변이가 확인되었습니다.
