Target Information
DEK is a protein containing one SAP domain. It binds to cruciform and superhelical DNA, inducing positive supercoils into closed circular DNA. DEK also participates in splice site selection during mRNA processing. Chromosomal aberrations, increased expression, and the presence of antibodies against DEK are associated with various diseases.
