Description:
The 104 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD45 molecule, the leukocyte common antigen (LCA) in CD45.2-expressing mouse strains. These include commonly used strains such as C57BL/6, BALB/c, C58, DBA/1, DBA/2, C3H/He, CBA, 129, A, and AKR. CD45.2 is expressed by all leukocytes in these strains.

The 104 antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended use ≤0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimal performance should be determined by titration.

Target Information
CD45.2 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, constituting ~10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It is crucial in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. CD45.2 also modulates integrin-mediated signal transduction and participates in apoptosis-related DNA fragmentation. CD45RA is an isoform with restricted expression among lymphoid subtypes.
