Target Information
Mitochondrial peripheral-type benzodiazepine receptor (PBR)는 스테로이드 합성 과정에서 필수적인 요소로, 리간드 활성화 시 콜레스테롤을 미토콘드리아 내부 사이드체인 절단 사이토크롬 P-450로 전달하는 역할을 합니다. PBR은 isoquinoline 결합 부위, 전압 의존성 음이온 채널, 아데닌 뉴클레오타이드 운반체의 세 가지 서브유닛으로 구성되어 있으며, 박테리아부터 인간까지 유전적으로 보존되어 있습니다. 인간에서는 말초 기관에 널리 발현되며, 뇌에서는 주로 교세포에 존재합니다. Peroxisome proliferator perfluordecanoic acid (PFDA)는 PBR mRNA 안정성을 억제하여 Leydig 세포의 스테로이드 생성에 영향을 미칩니다. 또한, PRAX-1 (Peripheral benzodiazepine receptor-associated protein 1)은 PBR과 특이적으로 상호작용하는 세포질 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
